As a Chief Investment Officer, Scott focuses on communicating about the investment environment to Carson Group Partners and managing the Spectrum Models.
Before joining Carson Group Partners, he spent 20 years at CLS Investments, an ETF strategist with $7 billion under management. He served primarily as the firm’s Chief Investment Strategist. Scott has taught numerous investment classes at the University of Nebraska Omaha (UNO) and earned his MBA from the same institution. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas in Economics and Business, and has earned his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
Scott has been a guest on CNBC’s Nightly Business Report, can be heard on Bloomberg Podcasts, and is a contributor to ETF.com. He is most notably quoted in Yahoo! Finance, U.S. News and World Report, and other leading financial publications.
Outside of his career, Scott serves on the Advisory Board for the Finance, Banking and Law department in the College of Business Administration at UNO. He enjoys reading, basketball, tennis, teaching Sunday school and spending time with his family.
